Established in 2007 by Dr. Charles L.
Quinn, the Ocmulgee Symphony Orchestra will open its fourth concert season in
September – and this year it will reach farther than ever, with inaugural
appearances in Macon, Warner Robins and Perry.
“This will be a major growth season for us, We’ll be making our first
appearances in several communities, and we’ll also reach younger audiences in a
number of performances,” says Dr. Quinn. “Our schedule reflects the goal we’ve
had since our first 2007 concert in Hawkinsville – ‘to provide great music
wherever the Ocmulgee flows’.”
Innovative scheduling will help make this possible. Each concert weekend
consists of an evening concert on Saturday and a matinee on Sunday afternoon
(with exception of the May 21 Pops Concert). Tickets are purposely made out to
both locations, giving you the freedom to decide which concert you would like to
attend.
